A special announcement..

 We are thrilled to announce that we will be adding a new baby to the Tweet Heart family very soon! She is due around the first of May and that time is sneaking up fast!

- We are now booked for the rest of spring for new designs - this only includes new custom designs, everything listed in the shop (included personalized items) are still available for purchase.
- We are tentatively planning on having the shop closed from May 1-14.

Of course, dates could change depending on what this baby decides to do. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this exciting change for our family!

If you live in the Ogden area and have not been to Kaffe Mercantile then shame on you! Just Kidding but you should really drop in. It's such a cozy little cafe and they have fantastic food and drinks. And they have the best customer service around. You'll love it!

I can't say enough good things about Wood Creations in West Haven. Basically it's a store with unfinished wood projects that you take home and make. Here are some of the things I've made..

He is more of a celebrity now but I'm happy to say I knew him when :) Dustin Izatt Photography specializes in wedding photography and has also recently branched out into Photo Booth rentals. How cool is that? What's a party without a photobooth?!

My weekend project

Several months ago I decided to paint my kitchen table. The top finish was chipping off and the color really wasn't my style. It's an old wood table (with lots of charm) that was actually inherited from my husband's grandpa.

You can see the color in the picture below. The color on the left was what we started with. Sorry for the low quality pictures, they were taken from my cell phone.

A couple weeks ago a friend of mine was selling a set of reupholstered vintage chairs for a steal of a deal. They are a dark & light gray tweed with a beautiful cream floral pattern. I love them! I decided on dark grey for the table as I wanted it to help pull some of the dark color from the chairs and then I'll be able to pair it with a light colored centerpiece.


Here is the finished product! I'll share a better picture after I've styled it. The wall behind the table has nothing on it, besides crayon marks from a very creative two year old. That's my next project and I'm excited!

We are so excited about our new designs. How about this guy?

About a year ago I started working on this owl and for some reason I just couldn't figure out how to finish it. I recently decided to try it with 2 colors (well actually 3 with the whites of the eyes) and it all of a sudden just came together. This is for sure one of my favorite designs to date.

Want to see how it started?

Definitely the starts of something good.. I loved his cute little ear tufts. But I couldn't figure out the wings and body. I definitely wanted him to be different than our classic Tweet Heart owl.

We incorporated our new owl into several new designs including this one..
